Jarrod from ImNotBad.com sent me several weeks ago this pic featuring a cute, one-of-a-kind Roger Rabbit doll sewn by a very talented person who used to work for Disney some time ago. She won’t be sewing another one, but you can get some inspiration from this cute doll and sew/cobble/commission your own.
It would be awesome if she decides to sew Jessica, Baby Herman or Benny the Car, but even if she doesn’t this incredible Roger doll is enough proof of her abilities and love for Roger =3
Thanks for the awesome find, Jarrod! =)

Coolest Roger Rabbit plushie ever
Usually at eBay you can find the most common Roger Rabbit collectibles, and once in a while there appears some of the rarest items related to the zany rabbit.
But I’ve never seen nothing as cute and awesome as this:
According to the description of this plushie, his height is about 15 inches and it’s fully poseable (arms, legs, ears and hands). It’s an item from Tokyo Disneyland and it looks like new, and if you ask me is the most faithful rendition of Roger Rabbit in a plushie I’ve ever seen =)
You can bid on this one clicking on the next link:

(US bidders only; sadly the seller doesn’t ship internationally)

This is, probably and undeniably, the most complete WFRR collection EVER!
Some years ago I’ve found some old videos about a certain Montreal collector who seems to own almost every single piece of merchandising related to "Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, which includes some rare foreign items, lots of magazines and related articles in them, and of course some exclusive collectibles and household items which I didn’t know that existed.
The last thing I knew was that he was trying to sell his entire collection (not parts of it: the whole enchilada or nothing), and it seems he’s going serious about it again. Just look at all those items in the video above --of course, if you can: it is a very quick sneak peek of this guy’s awesome collection and if you blink you can miss some interesting stuff.
Maybe we can’t be able to buy all that Roger-Rabbitness, but watching it doesn’t hurt either ;)

A very special Roger Rabbit day
In an earlier post I wrote about the lack of updates on Toontown Antics, mainly because there aren’t a lot of news and info about Roger Rabbit out there. I apologized because I want to keep this blog up and running, but without info, images or valuable bits of trivia is almost impossible.
Then, thanks to Roger himself I suddenly remembered why I created this blog a couple of years ago.
Out of nowhere, I found a very clean, mint talking Roger Rabbit doll: so mint it looks like new! (and still talks great)
I was so thrilled about this find, that I remembered how I felt the same way when I got my first Roger Rabbit doll, almost 5 years ago. It was the same emotion, the same happiness, the same “oh-my-gosh-i-can’t-believe-i-got-it” feeling I got in that time… When I actually needed a reason to smile.
Then, I got another find: a new copy of “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” since mine is a little worn-out (you know: I watched that movie dozens of times, and I can’t get tired of it).
Finally, at home, my friend Alex surprised me with a “new” Roger Rabbit illustration which I shared with all of you fellas.
And after all those neat finds, I remembered why I created Toontown Antics: because I wanted to share those neat emotions with all Roger Rabbit fans. Because I needed to share all my knowledge and points of view about Roger and his friends (and foes). Because I had hopes this blog would become a common place for fans of the movie and its characters, or fans of traditional animation as well. And of course: because I love Roger Rabbit <3
Today was my very special Roger Rabbit day. And thanks to that, Toontown Antics gets another chance =3

Nostalgia Critic made my rabbits famous!
Do you see the embedded video above? What appears to be a regular “Nostalgia Critic” review about “The Tommyknockers”, turned into the way to stardom for some of my Roger Rabbit dolls.
How?
Well… Press play on the video and skip to minute 3:39 and meet some of my rabbits! (They’ll be displayed behind Nostalgia Critic).
Of course, none of my dolls can talk… But it’s funny how Doug Walker picked my favorite rabbit of the bunch (in fact, the first RR doll I’ve got) and made him “talk” XD
In fact, I’m wondering where did he get that picture with all my rabbits…
Disclaimer: I must insist: he actually doesn’t talk… Or at least, I think so o_0
Thanks to Alex for the heads-up!! =3

All my rabbits =3
My rather huge Roger Rabbit plush doll collection. A couple of them are still mint, while the rest are in well-loved condition. I reconstructed a couple of them since they were virtually in pieces and as you can see, some of the rabbits were customized to fit certain themes. Of course, there’s Jessica too =3
You can show us your collection too! P-p-p-p-please, send your pics to my e-mail address and I’ll publish them in our blog! Don’t worry if you have few Roger Rabbit-related collectibles: we will be really p-p-p-p-p-pleased of watching them!! =D

Applause Roger Rabbit Catalog
If you spend a lot of time browsing eBay as me, you can easily find a lot of Roger Rabbit related merchandising, media and some rarities… But this is the first time I see something like this:
Yup: that’s the catalog from Applause (a toy, plush and gift company now owned by Russ Berrie and Company): one of the companies that sold Roger Rabbit licensed items like plushies in all available sizes, mugs, figurines, stationery and keychains, among another items. The front cover features the almost mythical Roger Rabbit life-size plush (very hard to get, even in those days when the movie was premiered), and you can see through its pages some of the most known merchandise about the zany bunny and his film.
Oh, I forgot: if you want to bid in that catalog, then click on the following link:
1988 DISNEY'S ROGER RABBIT MERCHANDISE CATALOG APPLAUSE
(This link may not be working after October 2009)
Since this catalog was only given to retailers, you can imagine how hard must be to get one of those! As for me, I own several Applause Roger Rabbit plushies (some small, one mid-sized, another one a little bigger, and one with suction cups) and figurines =3

Bambi & Thumper
Bought them last monday on a online bidding website (not eBay) and I got them this afternoon. Bambi is huge, and is made of floppy plush, very soft and smooth. Thumper is small, but it’s the most cute of both. His plush is very soft as well, and he looks very innocent and sweet.
I’m really in love of this couple, but specially, I adore Thumper. My little baby bunny… Mi bebĂ© <3

Huge collection update (and I mean it)
Long time no see you, guys! Since the latest news concerning to Roger Rabbit, I haven’t found more info about the proposed sequel (or prequel, or whatever it is) for “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”. Instead, I’ve found a lot of interesting things for my collection, which I want to share with all of you:
Eddie Valiant, Roger Rabbit and Judge Doom vintage action figures
Easter Thumper Plush Doll
I recently fell in love with Thumper, from the Bambi and Bambi II movies. After all, he’s Roger Rabbit’s uncle =3
The most cute thing about this plushie, is that he’s dressed… As the Easter bunny! How sweet, a bunny dressed up as a bunny:
Now, about my other finds…
Huge Thumper Plush; push his hand and he plays a sweet tune
Thumper Beanie Doll and Sam (official mascot from the 1984 Olympic Games, held in Los Angeles, USA) Little Plush Doll
Another Roger Rabbit Vinyl Figurine
And one awesome find I’m very proud of:
Optimus Prime, as a cool Dodge Ram SRT-10, from the Transformers Alternators series
And that’s all of my latest finds in toy stores, thrift stores and flea markets. Sure I spend a lot of money getting all those items, but I’m a compulsive shopper and, well, I can’t help it ;)

An old friend’s comeback
Once upon a time, I bought online a very worn out Roger Rabbit plush doll. He looked OK in the pictures, so I purchased it. When I got him one month after (since the seller sent him to me thru regular mail, instead of using a fast delivery service), he wasn’t so good looking at all. Roger was a little damaged and perhaps some child played lots with him, but what really caught my attention about him was his smile. His beautiful, cheery smile. I fell in love of him immediately.
Half year ago, I was very annoyed since I had some argument with one of my co-workers, and when I arrived home the first thing I saw was that smiling Roger doll. I couldn’t stand his sweet smile, so I threw him to the floor, stepped hard on him several times, kicked him and finally I torn him apart in several pieces. When I realized what have I done, it was too late: he was “dead”. I picked up all the pieces and threw them inside a plastic bag, for discarding that poor plushie doll later. But I never did. I kept all the pieces.
Yesterday I decided it was time to bring back my old, severed friend from “death”. With my poor sewing skills (and lots of glue, by the way) I gave him another chance to live:
I hadn’t the heart for taking pictures of him before the process. But he was really torn apart: his head, his ears, his arms, his legs and torso, and his clothes were absolutely destroyed. But he was still smiling. Maybe that was the reason that lead me to reconstruct him. I made a little comparative about how he looked before the incident, and how does he look now:
Of course, I am not proud of what I’ve done in the past. In fact, I had a lot of regrets for destroying this little smiling doll. But I hope this help to heal all those wounds and leaving the past where it belongs. Because, after all, Roger still has that sweet smile I love =3
Whiskers
If you have had (or maybe you still have) a Roger Rabbit plush doll, you can notice that probably he lacks two important features: his long whiskers, and his trademark front tooth. Since I had some spare time this past weekend, I decided to work on my own Roger Rabbit plush doll (better said, my favorite one) for giving him those facial features, and this is the final result:
How does Roger look now? I’d like to know what do you think! =3

More new bunnies
Today I got this Roger Rabbit lot, which includes:
A vinyl figurine
A little plush with suction cups (his eyes are yellowed by Sun exposition, but the rest is OK and the suction cups still work)
And a mint Roger Rabbit plush doll, just like the one I got severely damaged some time ago; his fur is still soft and puffy =3
And so, my rabbit family keeps growing <3

Hamtaro
Hamtaro is a cute, little hamster that lives every day as a new adventure along with his owner: the cute Hiroko Haruna (Laura Haruna in the U.S. version of the story) and his hamster friends, known as the “Ham-Hams”. It was a hit some years ago in several countries, including United States, Mexico and Latin America, and Japan of course. Sadly, people (specially children) forgot about him quickly.
I watched the animated version of the story (based on a japanese series of children books) and it’s really cute and heartwarming. It had some small changes for making it more suitable to american audiences, but retained the core adventures and everyday life of Hamtaro and the Ham-Hams.
Today I got a very cute Hamtaro plush doll for less than two dollars:
It is brand new without tags, and looks very huggable <3

2 years living with Roger Rabbit
2 years have passed since I got my first Roger Rabbit doll, which is featured above. I brought him to home in January 25th, 2007: exactly two years ago. Remember how much I played with him that day, and took a lot of pictures of me holding him, like this one:
Since that day, Roger became my little partner. I take him out every saturday (carrying him in my case), and I just love how people comes to me and ask me several questions about how I got him, and where they can find their own Roger Rabbit dolls. But what I like the most is when little kids come to me and hold Roger’s hands or nose, while smiling. He also became one of my close confidents, since he knows several secrets about me and my personal life. Maybe he can’t speak (at least, not like my talking Roger Rabbit dolls), but sure he can hear me while I talk with him for hours and hours. I’ve had some issues with him (most of them because my erratic behaviour) but Roger has a heart of gold and he’s always smiling at me, even in the worst situations. He’s a great listener, a great forgiver, but also a great friend and partner. I prefer to let aside those hard moments I had with him, and stay with all the nice experiences we had together.
Maybe you could think I’m a little insane for treating him as a real being, which is kinda true. But even when he’s really a stuffed doll in the shape of a famous rabbit cartoon, I enjoy having him close to me since he represents many of the things I want to achieve in my life, and he’s also one of my biggest inspirations. I really love Roger Rabbit, and hope I can stay with him for a very long time.
Aren’t you agree with me, little partner? =3

More bunny slippers =3
My bunny slippers absolutely ROCK! In fact, they are so great, cute and comfy that I decided to buy more spare pairs, just in case:
Those are all the colors available, and I particularly like the orange ones because the color combination, but all of them are really kawaii and I can’t wait to slip my feet in them =3
Fortunately, I got some of the last adult pairs since the ones that are left are just small sizes, like for little kids and young ladies. Yes, I know it’s weird buying footwear that’s more appropriate for ladies, and it’s even weirder wearing it, but I just love bunnies and having my feet warm, and I won’t be able to buy them until next year since spring is coming around the corner, and sandals are already in the shelves :)
P.S. I’m publishing this entry with Windows Live Writer =D

Finally, my bunny slippers!! (Well... Sort of)

I wanted a pair of bunny slippers so madly, that I begun developing a rather odd obsession about them. When I got the chance of buying them, I was low on cash. When I had the bucks, then I couldn't find them.
But finally, I got my warm and cuddly bunny slippers (well, sort of since they have little plush bunnies attached to them) and now I'm very very happy =3

Nesquik Bunny

I really like rabbits. Roger Rabbit is the #1 on my list, but I also love Bugs Bunny, Buster and Babs Bunny (no relation), Schnuffel (that cute rabbit that sings the "Kuschel Song", also known as "Snuggle Song"), Thumper and quite some other rabbits.
Of course, Nesquik Bunny (also known as Quicky) is one of them.
You can't find Nesquik plushies easily, which is quite surprising since he's a well known character and endorses a top-seller product. This one is a little worn, but still has a nice shape so I decided to pick it up for my ever growing collection.
Knockoff Rabbit

Roger Rabbit merchandise is always hard to find. But, believe it or not, Roger Rabbit knockoff merchandise is even harder to find!!
Last sunday I came home with this little cutie. There is no way you can mistake this one with an original Roger Rabbit doll (even its eyes are poorly done) but it's cute in its own way. This "Roger" doll is in good shape, but the suction cups in hands and feet are worn out. Probably I get some ones next weekend, since I want to get this little rabbit into my car, hanging on the rear window =3
