Several days ago I bought a vintage Roger Rabbit poster, given in an old promo of a sticker album featuring Disney characters. Today, it arrived home in perfect shape:
Luckily, I had a frame available:

In the last entry of this blog, my partner Alexander asked about certain Roger Rabbit cameo in an episode of Tiny Toon Adventures… I remembered watching that particular episode several years ago, so I began doing some minor research about it and finally I found that cameo!
You’re about to see a extract from the episode “Buster & Babs Go Hawaiian” (which in fact was the only episode written by fans of the show, and one of the very few fan-generated stories featured in a cartoon series), in which Roger and Jessica are featured. Unfortunately they aren’t playing full cameos: the only thing we can see are Roger’s right hand (wearing a blue glove instead of the well-known yellow one) and Jessica’s legs, but in the other hand Charles Fleischer was called to reprise Roger again:

Well… That’s it. Your thoughts? =0
REQUEST-Loretta by ~spongefox on deviantART
This is a really sweet rendition of my original character, Loretta Rabbit, drawn by Spongefox. Her overall design is a little bit different from mine, but she looks really cute and adorable wearing bows in both ears, and a nice pink jumper with imprinted swirls. And a Toon Kit! Wonder what will do Loretta with it =D
Thanks, my dear friend!! <3
Now that’s what I call a very original idea!
A seller at eBay is currently selling this couple of adorable crocheted rabbits: Roger Rabbit himself and a girl rabbit named “Rogina”. What’s interesting about Rogina is her design: she’s mainly a girl version of Roger, wearing some sort of blue necklace, red jumpers and what appear to be white sneakers with blue laces and pink soles.
Wonder if she’s supposed to be Roger’s sister or some distant cousin. She’s really cute <3
If you want to get Rogina (and Roger of course) you can place your bid in the following eBay auction:

Yup. I’ve been living three exact years with this little fella (maybe you remember the last year’s entry about my second anniversary with him) and very little has changed since that day.
Or at least, I think so.
Let’s see: Roger gained some much-needed whiskers and his loose tooth, so he isn’t your average Roger Rabbit plush doll anymore. What did I gain? Perhaps several pounds and a lot of knowledge about Roger Rabbit himself, everything related to him and of course the real life outside the rabbit hole.
I’ve had a lot of good stuff and great experiences with Roger. Also some bad stuff came when I couldn’t take control of my emotions, and I hurted him. There are several weird stories too, that are actually funny. But what I really remember with such joy and emotion, was the previous encounter I had with this Roger Rabbit doll before getting him.
At that time, I wasn’t so interested in the rabbit. In fact, knew little about him since the last time I saw him, back in my childhood days. I was collecting another stuff, and my interests were focused to some little spunky, red-haired girl that smells like strawberries. But some day, at the flea market. I spotted him. He was hanging on a grid display, among some other plush dolls and collectibles. Despite my limited knowledge, I recognized him and couldn’t avoid but smile and giggle. He looked really really funny, with his big blue eyes staring at me. A sudden blast of nostalgia caught me, but as soon as it came, it disappeared. I was in fact searching for another doll, so I smiled at Roger for the last time, and said goodbye to him.
Never thought I would bring him to home two weeks later!! (thanks, of course, to the broadcast of “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” on Mexican Disney Channel).
Since January 25th. 2007, Roger Rabbit has been part of my life. Today, January 25th, 2010, Roger Rabbit is still part of my life.
And I love him a lot <3
For all you Cubee lovers, finally you can get the oddest animated couple in their own Cubee templates!!

The same day Toontown Antics got into its first anniversary, my huge Roger Rabbit plush doll finally arrived home:
Yup: I added him some whiskers =3
(Sat him in the chair for giving you an idea of his size =D)
Commissioned a life-sized Roger Rabbit doll several months ago and it’s finally done! Still don’t have it at home (this pictures were sent to me by the person who made the doll) but the rabbit it’s HUGE and it’s totally hand-made. This person also makes Sackboys (from the PS3 hit “Little Big Planet”) and several custom dolls that you can see in her online catalog.
So, do you like him? I can’t wait to bring him at home, he’s so huggable! =3
My rather huge Roger Rabbit plush doll collection. A couple of them are still mint, while the rest are in well-loved condition. I reconstructed a couple of them since they were virtually in pieces and as you can see, some of the rabbits were customized to fit certain themes. Of course, there’s Jessica too =3
You can show us your collection too! P-p-p-p-please, send your pics to my e-mail address and I’ll publish them in our blog! Don’t worry if you have few Roger Rabbit-related collectibles: we will be really p-p-p-p-p-pleased of watching them!! =D
As Digital Spy published yesterday, Christopher Lloyd (better known for his roles as Judge Doom in “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” and Doc Emmet Brown in the “Back to the Future” trilogy) is very excited about the upcoming Roger Rabbit sequel, and he would like to reprise his role as the evil, red-eyed cartoon who became judge thanks to a couple of zillion simoleons:
Digital Spy - Christopher Lloyd up for 'Rabbit' sequel
Personally, I don’t think Judge Doom comes back from death to haunt Roger, Jessica, Eddie and the gang (neither him or the Toon Patrol). But he can still get into the project, if Bob Zemeckis asks him.
What do you think? =3
A lovely couple, isn’t it? =D
Roger and Jessica’s wedding, as illustrated by mexican talented artist Martin López, famous for his well-known Simpsons’ parodies. Thanks to Profesor Carlos (webmaster of Proyecto Cartoon and Quién Engañó a Roger Rabbit) for sending me this cool illustration!
Keeping up the vid-related posts, here I bring some of the commercials in which Roger Rabbit was featured. Almost all of them are 20+ years old, but they’re still worth the watch:
Diet Coke commercial
Still don’t understand why Roger likes to drink Diet Coke… It tastes HORRIBLE! Oh well…
Disneyland Christmas Celebration 1988
In this ad, Disneyland is welcoming Roger Rabbit into his first holidays at the park. Notice how his feet soles are featuring their oval-shaped pads, which aren’t there in the rest of the Roger Rabbit costumed characters. Maybe because this one was sitting there the whole time, or because this was the first version of the costume, that was later improved for durability and Cast Members’ comfort.
Disney-MGM Studios 1989
Here Roger appears just a couple of seconds. He’s been drawn in an animation board, and then suddenly jumps to our faces. Worth the watch anyway.
Mickey’s Great Adventures (on ice)
This will make you remember about the times when shows on ice were the greatest thing since sliced bread, hehehehe.
French ad for Who Framed Roger Rabbit
You can’t miss the animated ad in the second half of this video!
80’s Commercials (featuring Roger Rabbit’s VHS ad)
There are some vintage commercials in there… Roger’s ad begins at 6:29 (if you’re only interested on that ad, click on this link).
Commercial for Roger Rabbit’s Vista Series DVD
Since then, Roger hasn’t been featured in commercial ads. Just promos for his movie broadcast in several channels.
And finally…
Roger Rabbit doll commercial (my personal favorite!)
Lovely, isn’t it? =3

Of course, that custom doll is based on this illustration =3
I mean, teasing us with more info tidbits about Roger Rabbit’s sequel. This time, at an interview he had with Empire Online, he gave us a couple of hints about the way he would film RR2:
Yeah, I mean, you know, we have the tools now and we can actually, uhmmm, really make a spectacular version of Roger Rabbit if the screenplay turns out to be something that’s really good…
(…)
Yes, you know, it depends on… You know, I mean: it depends on… It probably should be made in the tradition of the first movie.
What does this mean? Well… I don’t know if he talks about filming live action sequences, that will be mixed with digitally animated sequences and MoCap, of if he wants to keep the storyline of the first movie, or something else.
Come on Zemeckis, stop playing with our minds! We just want the rabbit back under the spotlights, p-p-p-p-p-please!! >.<
