If you have any doubts about Roger Rabbit 2…

…There’s again Robert Zemeckis, doing what he loves to do: giving us small updates of the upcoming sequel. This time he talks for MTV News in an event celebrating the 25th. anniversary of “Back To The Future”. He specifically talks about the script that Jeffrey Price and Peter Seaman are pulling out:

Yes: the guy loves to be cryptic. At least we’re getting used to it ;)

So, what do you think? =3

WFRR script

So, what do we have for you kids today? Well, the script Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman wrote for the movie actually. It's not the final version as it has some different scenes that didn't make it to the movie. The weasels are never given any individual designs, Doom's pet vulture is still here and there is also a weird kangaroo jury he talks to before executing anyone. The basic plot is still the same though. I have also read there were earlier drafts were Jessica or Baby Herman were the villains. Would've been interesting to read those as well.

More RR Sequel News: There’s a new script!

7028_1

Yes, I know this has been very exhausting for all of us. And I feel like tired while writing this entry, since I don’t really know if this time Zemeckis and his gang are finally getting serious with the much-delayed Roger Rabbit sequel…

But as the owner of Toontown Antics, it’s my duty to keep all of you informed. Hear Robert Zemeckis about this, and get your own conclusions:

"There's a script that's being developed. We've got the original writers that are working on it now — Seaman and Price."

MTV Movie News Exclusive: 'Roger Rabbit' Writers Working On Sequel, Robert Zemeckis Says

This time I’ll keep my comments to myself. Don’t want to get over-excited again, just for watching all my hopes being shattered like the past times.

Roger Rabbit 2 script on Ebay

Someone has put the script for the sequel that never got made up for sale. For those of you who didn't knew about this movie. Well, after the success of WFRR the filmmakers starting playing around with the idea for another film about Roger Rabbit. Eventually they came up with the idea for a prequel featuring Roger's adventures as a soldier during WW2 and how he first met Jessica. It was sadly scrapped due to budget problems and the fact that after Schindler's list Speilberg never wanted to have anything to do with movies that featured nazis. (Which if I remember correctly was also one of the reasons why Indy 4 was so delayed)

If you are interested in finding out more about this I suggest you head over to Filmbuff Online which has a informative article about the subject.
