More Roger Rabbit commercials!!

As every Roger Rabbit fan is waiting for the upcoming news about the sequel of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, there’s a lot of people talking about the rabbit and his friends right now. And naturally, things related to the original movie are starting to pop-up in several websites.

TheThiefArchive @ Youtube uploaded recently some commercials related to the movie, being one of those the McDonalds ad with the collectible cups that seems to have some original animation made specifically for it:

Neat finds, huh-huh!! =D

I remember reading in Leonard Maltin's book "The Disney Films" that promotions similar to that last ad only happened after the film opened successfully and had rave reviews. Prior to the film's opening, people at the Walt Disney Company were worried about associating WFRR with the Disney brand, and having Mickey, Donald, etc. appearing in the film.

I can understand that, John. "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" was their biggest bet at the time, when things at the House of Mouse weren't going fine. If the film flopped on his opening, that could've been the end for Disney. Fortunately, WFRR is still the best film in its own genre, one of the best films of the 80's, and one of the best films ever made :D
