No, we didn’t forget about our…

toontownantics_anniversary3

Yup, we’ve just had our 3rd. Anniversary last friday!
I’m a little late, but better late than never, huh-huh!!

Every anniversary I write some words thanking for your support in good times and also through bad times, but this time I won’t write an incredibly long, boring and redundant textwall. It’s time to celebrate!!

Thanks for bringing us a smile every single day, Roger Rabbit!

P.S. I still love you <3

Toontown Antics – Second Anniversary

toontownantics_anniversary2 We’ve had a really hard year: very few rumors about the “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” upcoming sequel and another related projects by Robert Zemeckis, Disney and some other movie studios. Lack of fresh news that keep us excited until we can get something more substantious. And, in top of all, several persons who think Roger Rabbit is a forgotten character who should remain that way, since no one will be interested in a zany, wacky cartoon rabbit in a world dominated by 3D and CGI behemoths.

Despite all those issues, Toontown Antics is still here.

A couple of years is enough time for proving I’m doing the right stuff. Sure, I’ve had some slumps in my personal life and sometimes I feel like: “what the heck am I doing, since almost nobody is interested in Roger Rabbit and they rather go after Jessica?”. Anyway I’ve been stubborn enough to let this little, humble blog die and all my efforts to keeping it updated and running worth it. Totally worth it

Of course, I’ve had a lot of support from Alex: my co-blogger. He’s always there, searching for more Roger Rabbit related articles, drawings and stuff, and giving me his advice and kind words. Without him, Toontown Antics would be probably a dead project, and I really thank him for his time, patience and wisdom.

But, if you weren’t reading this, we wouldn’t have any reasons to celebrate. That’s why I want to thank all our visitors: frequents, casuals and anonymous. Friend or foes. Lovers or haters. Fans of Roger, Jessica, Eddie, Baby Herman, Judge Doom and the Weasels. Thanks to all of you, for your support and nice comments (and also thanks for all the times we’ve had arguments, why not?)

Thanks a lot for being part of Toontown Antics, since 2009.

2011 is the Year of the Rabbit, let’s go for it! =3

P.S. In case you’re wondering who’s the rabbit girl on the illustration, her name is Loretta Rabbit and you can read more about her in one of my earlier blog entries ;)

Toontown Antics – First Anniversary

ImprimirA year ago, I started Toontown Antics. Didn’t have any visitors at the time and the updates were, let’s face it: a little silly and pointless.

Today, Toontown Antics is one of the few well-known blogs fully devoted to Roger Rabbit and his fellow friends, and I have some visitors from United States, Mexico, Argentina, Norway and even Japan!

I can’t thank you enough for all the support, for making this dream come true and for keeping it alive when I was in despair. Thanks to everyone: friends and foes, toons and humans, rabbits and weasels, casual visitors and hardcore fans.

Thanks to Ayaka-chan, Alexander, MikMix, Sketch, LĂȘA, Dizneyfan, my followers (at the right column) and the rest of my visitors (casuals and anonymous)!!

And, of course, thank you very much Roger Rabbit, for all the funny and sweet moments!! =3

P-p-p-p-p-please, keep supporting this blog!! =’)

A very big “THANK YOU“

I´ve had some very busy weeks at “Toontown Antics“. So many things happened to me in so very little time: those rumors about a new Roger Rabbit movie, the argument with the weasels´ fanboy, another load of arguments with some people that thought I was sick because loving Roger Rabbit a little too much, my farewell letter to Roger and my sudden decision to abandon this blog (which gladly I didn´t keep)... And some things I won´t write down here, that made me feel very ashamed and guilty.

Even with all those dramas, some persons were always there, supporting me and giving me their wise advice and kind words. They taught me some lessons about sticking to your own ideals, being true to your real self, and let things flow. The more important lessons were about going ahead even when things seem to be out of control, and to ignore people that cannot leave things behind. About loving what you do, because you really love it. About loving Roger Rabbit, because I really love him. Although I know very little about their personal beliefs and faith appreciation, I already know they´re not the kind of people that like to brag about their own beliefs, or tend to feel they´re “right“ while the rest are “wrong“... They´re just kind, nice persons that gave me their help and advice when I needed it. Persons that gave their hands to some stranger that needed a little push. Persons that I really love and estimate.

So, I´d like to thank you, Ayaka-chan. Also I´d like to thank you, Alexander. And of course, thanks also to you, Mikmix. Thanks, Daniel and Monica (both great friends in real life). Finally, thanks to Dr. Demente, Demyx, T-Sex, Benchwarmer and Rip Van Fizher from the Atomix Message Boards.

I really appreciate your kind, caring words and your great advice. Thanks to all of you, Toontown Antics is still up and running. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you a thousand times.

And also thanks to you, Roger Rabbit. I love you, sweet bunny <3

With some friends like you, no wonder why a single weasel couldn´t kill Roger Rabbit =3

Update: Since I wasn’t getting any comments (maybe because the mature filter on DA), I uploaded a non-nude version of the drawing:
